HIGHLIGHTS OF SOME PROJECTS

Custom Automation

AUTOMATED ASSEMBLY MACHINES

Assembly operations are the most likely areas in a shop floor that are not automated.  The main reasons for that are their complexity and expense.  Manufacturing companies find that it is easier to have humans continue to assemble parts.

We were able to leverage the incredible advantages of global sourcing to design and develop assembly automation machines. These machines were affordable, reduced labor costs significantly, increased throughput and improved quality.

AIR OVER HYDRAULIC PRESSES

We worked with Unipunch to assist them in upgrading their press capabilities.  The resulting product looks significantly better than what they had been using and is a faster and more reliable design.  Here again, we leveraged our global sourcing network to assist Unipunch to get a cost-effective product.

COLLABORATIVE ROBOTS FOR WELDING

Robotic welders are the most mature of the automation projects.  However, implementing them in a factory involves significant expense, complexity in training and set-up, safety issues and so on.  With the advent of collaborative robots these hurdles while not completely eliminated, are definitely minimized,  My team and I are pursuing the design of a welding cobot cell that is affordable and easy to set-up and operate.  Leveraging our global sourcing network we have been able to provide an affordable alternative.
